The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) Serves the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Established in 1982, it is anonymous and confidential and is staffed by professional crisis counselors who, through translators, can provide assistance in 140 languages.

The Childhelp Children's Center of Arizona

The center provides opportunities for cross-agency consultation and continuing education for professionals in child abuse-related fields (available to community professionals, as well as the on-site staff).

The child-friendly environment and team approach with law enforcement, medical and child protective services officials, increases efficiency while minimizing the trauma to the child.

Internships and field experiences also are available for students entering the areas of social services and mental health, with an emphasis on working with child abuse victims and survivors.

Intervention:

Center of Northern Arizona

A partnership with Safe Child Center at Flagstaff Medical Center, the Childhelp Children's Mobile Advocacy Center of Northern Arizona provides a variety of services to abused children in rural and tribal communities. The first of its kind in Arizona, the mobile center offers one-stop multidisciplinary services at selected locations in Northeastern Arizona, reducing investigation time and trauma for abuse victims and their non-offending family members.
