Good-Touch/Bad-Touch Training:
Good-Touch/Bad-Touch is training for: educators, both elementary and middle school teachers and administrators, school counselors, school social workers, school psychologists, school nurses, special education teachers, pre-school personnel (teachers and family service coordinators), day care providers, Child Protective Service workers, Head Start teachers and family advocates, public health educators, law enforcement personnel, child advocacy outreach program personnel, and any other interested child advocates. Meets Core Curriculum Requirements Fulfills many health and safety education requirements. Educators can receive professional credits for this Training. Prevents Violence and Creates Safer Schools Includes character education, bullying prevention, bystander strategies and Internet safety rules. Children can have a difficult time concentrating in the classroom if they do not feel safe. Good-Touch/Bad-Touch gives children skills so they can participate in their own safety. Recipient of Governor's Exemplary Project Award for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency. Stays Current In its 11th revision, to stay up-to-date with research and to be in compliance with educational requirements. Evaluated, Effective Prevention Professional staff at the University of Georgia, National Mental Health Association, 6000 educators, etc. Is NOT Sex Education 64% of teenagers who become pregnant have a history of child sexual abuse. Why not prevent it by preventing sexual abuse or by empowering our children? Training Outcomes Good-Touch/Bad-Touch helps schools and youth organizations create safer environments and strengthen assets for positive youth development, by empowering children, their teachers, parents and other caring adults to connect in positive, supportive ways with each other to prevent, address and solve problems of abuse, sexual abuse, sexual harassment and bullying (including bullying by technology). Using varied teaching techniques that involve children in the classroom lessons, Good-Touch/Bad-Touch helps schools meet curriculum standards for Health, Safety and Social Education. |
